Through Thick and Thin - Patch
We’re proud to introduce the first piece in our digitally produced studio line.
Originally created as a personal gift for my wife, this heart motive design explores typographic hierarchy and readability as a metaphor for what it means to hold together through love, challenge, and time. What began as something intimate now becomes the starting point of a new direction for the studio.
Production & Method
This patch is produced using digital embroidery, distinct from our traditional hand-operated chainstitch process.
The artwork was developed in-house and translated into digital stitch to allow for fine detailing and controlled small-batch production. Each piece is machine-made, not hand-chainstitched.
Materials
Every patch is produced using carefully researched base materials, including vintage and selected recycled textiles chosen for charm, texture and durability. Each batch cut and finished in our studio.
Studio Positioning
While separate from our chainstitch embroidery, this collection maintains the same design standards and material consideration. It allows us to explore new formats and create accessible entry-point pieces without compromising authorship.

FAQ's
Every piece is designed and fully handcrafted by Giulio using the same tools and techniques you’d find in a 1950s or ’60s workshop.
There are no digital processes or modern shortcuts, just time, care, and a deep respect for craft. We make what we love, and only what we’d wear ourselves.
All of our products are made to order. Processing times depend on the complexity of the piece:
- Standard pieces (patches, smaller framed works): usually made within 10 working days from the date of purchase.
- Complex or large-scale pieces (multi-element artworks, embroidered garments): made during scheduled production weeks. These are typically produced in the first week of each month, but scheduling may vary.
This classification is listed on each product. If you need a product sooner, please contact us — we’ll do our best to fit it into our diary where possible.

All our pieces are handcrafted and chain-stitched in the studio. Because of the time and care invested, custom or personalised items, like those featuring names, word choices, custom modifications or bespoke colourways, cannot be returned or cancelled once production begins.
For ready-made, non-personalised designs (patches, framed pieces without customisation options), we accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition, and packaged as received.
If you're unhappy with your order for any reason, whether bespoke or ready-made, please get in touch. We'll do our best to find a solution and make it right.
